About Guli
An independent Georgian project for Georgians — at home and in the diaspora.
What Guli is
Guli (გული, "heart") is a dating service built for Georgians and for serious relationships. The name is not decoration: this is about the heart, not about endless swiping.
Why a separate app
On the big international services a Georgian gets lost: the algorithm cannot see that a shared language, a home region, an attitude to family and the tradition of the supra actually matter. And in the diaspora — in Berlin, Moscow, Athens — finding someone from home is harder still.
Guli is built around that difference: matching takes region, languages, faith and intent into account, and the interface exists in three languages so that a diaspora kid who reads Georgian poorly can use it just as easily.
What we do differently
- Serious intent by default — what you are looking for is part of the profile and feeds into matching.
- Matching is transparent: we say why a particular person was shown.
- Chat only after a mutual like — no unsolicited messages.
- Verification is reviewed by a person, not by an algorithm.
- The core stays free.
Who is behind it
An independent Georgian team. The project is not owned by an international holding and there are no ad networks behind it.
