Safety on Guli

Who can join

Guli is 18+. Every account is tied to a verified Telegram account, a phone number, an e-mail address or an Apple ID — a completely anonymous profile is not possible.

Phone confirmation

Numbers are confirmed by Telegram itself: the bot asks you to share your number and we check that it really belongs to that account. It costs nothing and is more reliable than SMS.

Selfie verification

To get verified, a person sends a live selfie which we compare by hand with the photos on their profile. If it matches, a blue check appears. The selfie itself is never shown to other users.

Verification is voluntary, but verified profiles are trusted more.

Reports and blocking

Every profile has a report button. A report goes straight to moderation and the profile disappears from your feed.

A blocked person can no longer see you in the feed, message you or open your profile. Accounts that break the rules are banned.

What we hide from others

• Exact coordinates — others only see an approximate distance.
• Your phone number and e-mail — they never appear on your profile.
• Your verification selfie — only moderation sees it.
• Your exact address — a profile shows country and city only.

Rules for a first meeting

• Meet somewhere busy — a café, a park, the city centre. Not at home and not somewhere deserted.
• Get there and back on your own transport.
• Tell a friend or a relative who you are meeting and where.
• Keep your phone charged.
• If something feels wrong, leave. You owe no one an explanation.

Signs of a scam

Report immediately if the person you are talking to:

• Asks for money, a transfer, cryptocurrency or card details — for any reason at all.
• Immediately pushes you to another site or messenger.
• Asks for intimate photos, or sends them unprompted.
• Avoids a video call or a live photo.
• Rushes you: declares strong feelings after a couple of messages.

Your data

You can delete your account at any time, along with your profile, your conversations and your photos, including the copies in storage. Details are on the account deletion page.
